Today's prompt on hsmshs is SPHERE.

I can't remember what this was called but I've had if forever. It's one of those mind games. You have to twist and rotate the beads to get all one color in each of the rows.

Beginning

So I've been lurking over at Her Space My Space His Space for awhile now. They post a new set of photos each day that represent the word of the day. Anyone is welcome to join in at any time.

Today's word is BEGINNING, so I figured it's a good time for me to finally start joining in. It's the beginning of a new year, a new week. The kids have gone back to school and I'm planning to really work on my photography this year. Hopefully it will improve, this isn't the best photo but it's what I came up with for today's word.

Art work

This is one of my daughter's art projects from 5th grade. This was harder to photograph than I thought. I tried it in a few different places. Basically the lighting in our house sucks!

Happy New year!

Well, after a little break over here I'm back and ready to go. At least for now! Ha! Fresh start for the new year.

I'm planning to get out there and take more photos and work on my skills more often. Maybe take some classes soon, play around and learn more on photoshop.

Along with that I want to start posting here on a more regular (hopefully daily) basis. Share what I'm doing and learning. I'm not going to commit to a daily blog but I'm going to strive for it. I'm also not commiting to posting photos taken that same day, though I will try to keep them fairly current. We'll see how it goes.

I'm trying this for the first time with Flickr. Not sure how it's going to work so bear with me if my posts look out of whack until I know what I'm doing.........or decide I want to try something else.

Not sure if anyone is still checking over here at this point but want to wish anyone out there checking in a very Happy New Year!
