View from the Track

From August of 2006. We went to the WI State Fair and they were parking cars on the track. The kids (and hubby) thought it was pretty cool to be driving on the race track. I'm sure if there weren't other cars directly in front and behind us hubby would have been more reckless.

I'm guessing it doesn't have quite the same effect as when there are thousands of fans in the stands.

Lineman's Rodeo

The weekend before last they held Wisconsin's 2nd Annual Lineman's Rodeo in town. It's a competition between area Utility workers. This photo is from the opening ceremony. Each lineman climbed to their spot and then they passed the US Flag up and mounted it on the top of the pole. They then played the national anthem before beginning the competition. We only stayed a short time to see what was involved, take a few pics and check out some of the trucks. It was taking a while before any of the events started and the kids were getting restless and hungry.
