My husband thought this was quite funny. Labeling the burglar alarm. Wonder if it still works.

Yoke

How about I get back to posting some pictures? This is a photo blog after all! I took a bunch on our recent trip to Massachusetts and will be sharing some here over the next week or two.

This yoke is on my Uncle's (formerly my grandparent's) garage. Not completely sure where it came from. I'm guessing my grandmother might have brought it back from her home in Virginia.

Now I've got myself curious and need to find out!

Local Church destroyed

Yesterday there was a big gas explosion in town that unfortunately destroyed a local church. Here is a photo I happened to take last September of that church.


Here is a photo I took today. All that is left standing is the bell tower. This is from the opposite side. They had the street along the front blocked.

Holy Hill

Thought I'd share a pic I took the other day of Holy Hill. Not sure what hubby and I were thinking though, going out in sub zero temps! It was cooooold up there!

Antiques Barn

I've always loved the look of this barn. I drive by it just about every day. Inside (and accessed by the other side of the building) is an antique and collectibles store called "The Gathering Place".

As promised yesterday, here is the building where the local Boy Scouts meet.

In case you are not familiar with it those are the first three words in the Girls Scout Promise.

I took a walk through the park the other day and got this picture of the local Girl Scout Troop house. Many area troops hold their meetings and other activities there and share in the cleaning and up keep of the building. Both of my girls have used the building at one time or another. Tomorrow I'll show you where the Boy Scouts meet. Their building is in the same park.

City Hall

Every city has a city hall, right? Well, here's ours. The main entrance is under the clock tower in the left of the photo. The back of the building houses the Police Department.
